Minnesota Vikings Hire Andrew Healy and Trent Kirchner as GMs

The Minnesota Vikings have made significant changes to their front office by hiring Andrew Healy and Trent Kirchner as assistant General Managers. This decision comes under the leadership of new General Manager Nolan Teasley, as reported by Alec Lewis of TheAthletic.com. Healy, who previously served as the vice president of research and strategy for the Cleveland Browns, brings a wealth of experience in player valuation and strategic decision-making. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from MIT and has a background in academia, having taught at Loyola Marymount University. Kirchner joins the Vikings after a long tenure with the Seattle Seahawks, where he worked closely with Teasley for 13 years. His most recent role was as the VP of player personnel, a position he earned in 2020 after serving as co-director of player personnel and pro personnel director. The Vikings are also restructuring their scouting department, parting ways with several personnel executives, including assistant GM Demitrius Washington and senior personnel executive Jamaal Stephenson. These moves signal a new direction for the Minnesota Vikings as they aim to strengthen their roster and improve their performance in the upcoming NFL season.
